IIAK Holding 108th Annual Convention in Bowling Green

May 25, 2004

Independent agents from throughout the state of Kentucky will
converge in Bowling Green from June 17-19, for what will be the 108th Annual Convention of the Independent Insurance Agents of Kentucky (IIAK).

Featured at this year’s convention will be Maker’s Mark CEO and president, Bill Samuels, Jr. Armed with many years of experience, Samuels will share his extensive entrepreneurial skills and give audiences an insight into “America’s Oldest” distillery. Samuels will be speaking at the convention’s Inaugural Dinner on Thursday, June 17, at approximately 7 p.m.

Also addressing the crowd will be William G. Stiglitz, III, who was recently voted as the president elect of the national association – Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America (IIABA).

A resident of Louisville, Stiglitz will take on his position formally in October. In 2005 he will become the sixth national president to have come from Kentucky. Stiglitz will be speaking at the IIAK convention’s General Session, on Thursday, June 17, at approximately 1 p.m.

2004 has been recognized as a continuing education year. The IIAK annual convention will hold five continuing education seminars throughout the three days. These seminars will provide agents with both up-to-date education, and the continuing education credits they need. With seminars being conducted by top insurance instructors from throughout the country, agents will reportedly be well equipped with the tools they need for success in their agencies.

The IIAK 108th Annual Convention will be held at the Holiday Inn
University Plaza in Bowling Green. It is expected that around 200 people will attend this year’s convention. The organization was founded in 1896.
