LIG Marine Managers of St. Petersburg, Fla. has been approved to open a branch office in London by the Financial Services Authority, which regulates the British insurance industry under the Financial Services and Markets Act of 2000. FSA issued the approval effective Jan. 14. The London office will open at the end of this month.
According to Ian Greenway, LIG Marine Managers president, the office will be located in the heart of the London insurance community on Fenchurch Avenue and will eliminate the gap between the U.S. and U.K. marketplace.
“This new branch office will provide a unique enhancement to our placements in London, ensuring that our producers and clients obtain the best program possible regardless of where they may be underwritten and the best claims service in the minimum time,” Greenway explained.
