April 11, 2005

Representatives of more than 150 Strategic Independent Agents Alliance’s Master Agency, Strategic Partner Companies and vendors will attend the April 13-15 semi-annual business meeting at the Marriott World Center in Orlando, Fla.

The highlight of this exclusive meeting for members will be a presentation by keynote speaker, Mike LaRocco, Safeco president of product, underwriting and claims. LaRocco is responsible for all Safeco personal, commercial and surety product lines as well as the underwriting and claims operations that support those products. Safeco is a leading SIAA Strategic Partner Company.

LaRocco joined Safeco in 2001 and under his leadership, Safeco has emerged as one of the most efficient and profitable companies selling personal lines insurance exclusively through the independent distribution channel.

SIAA’s 19th semi-annual meeting will primarily focus on the co-branding of SIAA’s Master Agencies, and provide guidance about increasing SIAA’s overall brand recognition among consumers.

Several topics also covered will include recruitment and optimizing business books. Finally, SIAA’s development will be discussed, including 2004’s solid growth results in new Independent Strategic Agencies and written premium growth.

“Our twice-a-year business meetings bring our Master Agencies together in the planning and implementation of growth strategies,” Jim Masiello, SIAA chairman said. “Once again, we have 100 percent attendance assured, which is very unusual in any insurance entity meeting environment.

“With SIAA’s dynamic growth, comprised of 210 Strategic Master Agency territories operating in 48 states and Canada and over 1,600 Independent Insurance Agencies our meetings are well attended and exciting as members discuss the implementation of growth strategies,” Masiello explained.

SIAA members write in excess of $3.5 billion in premium volume. More information is available at www.siaa4u.net.
