Legislative, Regulatory, Ethics Issues Highlight IIAG Conference Agenda

Industry leaders will discuss hot legislative, regulatory and ethics issues during the 108th Independent Insurance Agents of Georgia’s June 10 to 14 108th Annual Convention and Trade Show at the Hilton Sandestin Resort in Destin, Fla. This event will feature educational events for more than 150 veteran agents and 125 young agents and an action-packed exhibit hall.

The convention theme “Legacy of Leadership,” will feature well-known speakers discussing key topics of interest to the industry: Jack Klingston, “Leading the Charge … on the Hill;” Ken Bishop, “The Complete Sale: Lead the Way;” Gould B. Hagler Jr., will present a legislative and regulatory update; Alex Soto, “Perpetuation: Not a Roll of the Dice;” and Bob Rusbuldt, IIABA’s CEO will discuss “Hot Issues and Answers.”

“The Complete Sale: Lead the Way,” presented by Ken Bishop, will be the keynote address for a Young Agents on June 11.

Monday’s sessions will also include the IIAG business meeting and election of officers, followed by a presentation “Transforming Leaders and Organizations,” by Phillip Van Hooser; and a “Hot CEO Perspective,” by Mike McGavick, CEO of Safeco. On Monday afternoon there will be an Ethics Seminar on “Counting the Cost,” by Tom Freeland of Infinity Insurance. The final event on Monday evening will be a reception and the installation of IIAG officers during a special dinner which will include entertainment.
