January 31, 2006

Atlanta-based Beecher Carlson, an insurance brokerage and risk management consulting company, has announced it has entered into a strategic business relationship with Tony Rodolakis, a risk management veteran with extensive expertise and specialization in the hospitality industry. The relationship expands Beecher Carlson’s deep expertise in the hospitality industry where Rodolakis will provide consulting services to Beecher Carlson clients with a focus on the mid-market and smaller hotel chains. The relationship is exclusive to Beecher Carlson from a brokerage perspective, yet Rodolakis will continue to consult independently.

Rodolakis has 30 years experience in the design, development and implementation of leading edge global risk management programs. He has extensive knowledge and expertise in risk financing, risk identification and evaluation, risk administration, loss prevention, claims management and risk management information systems. Rodolakis’ expertise also includes acquisition/divestiture due diligence analysis, contract review and global insurance compliance.

Since 1998, Rodolakis served as vice president of Risk Management for Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc. Starwood is an owner, manager and franchisor of more than 750 hotels and timeshares in more than 80 countries generating annual sales of $5.9 billion. Rodolakis left Starwood in August 2005.

Prior to Starwood, Rodolakis was vice president of Risk Management for Holiday Inn Worldwide (currently Intercontinental Hotel Group). Holiday Inn is an owner, manager and franchisor of more than 2,000 hotels located in more than 60 countries. Prior to Holiday Inn, Rodolakis headed risk management operations for Wendy’s International, Echlin Manufacturing and The Stanley Works. He also held various claim positions for the Aetna Life & Casualty Insurance Company.

“I am excited to be working closely with Beecher Carlson and their team of hospitality specialists,” Rodolakis said. “With Beecher Carlson’s well-established and successful track record in the hospitality sector, I look forward to upholding their commitment to deliver innovative solutions that ensure each client has the right solution, every time. With the hospitality industry challenged the way it has been due to last year’s Gulf Coast storms, we face interesting times ahead, requiring us all to look at programs from different angles and fresh perspectives.”
