Mercator Risk Services, a specialty wholesale insurance broker in New York, has appointed Maria McCool as senior vice president – regional client relationship manager for the Southeast.
“McCool is highly respected and well known throughout the Southeast, allowing Mercator to further expand its reach with retail brokers in the region,” said Gregg Calestini, Mercator Risk Services executive vice president. “Her drive, knowledge and proven ability to develop solid relationships with retail brokers throughout the marketplace and her ability to collaborate with team members to deliver the right solutions for our clients are critical to our success. We are pleased to have McCool leading Mercator’s efforts into the Southeast.”
McCool has more than 17 years of client executive and business development expertise in the property and casualty commercial insurance industry, with a proven track record. She will be responsible for all aspects of client relationship management and sales development for the firm throughout the Southeast.
Prior to joining Mercator, McCool worked for Fireman’s Fund as a Business Development Manager responsible for territorial development. Before that, she filled a variety of management capacities at Chubb.
