Insurance brokerage and risk management consulting firm Beecher Carlson has expanded its Nashville, Tenn. office and appointed Clayton Washburn as producer. Washburn has 18 years of experience specializing in energy, construction and waste management. He will leverage his vertical market expertise and focus on the development and production of accounts in the energy and construction industries throughout the southeast region.

“Washburn brings a strong blend of sales leadership and operational management skills to Beecher Carlson,” Scott Davis, managing director of the Nashville office, said. “When combining these qualities with his expertise in the construction and energy industries, he represents the exact kind of production leader we were looking for.”

Washburn is recognized for his strategic sales leadership and analytical thinking. Prior to joining Beecher Carlson, he was director of sales and marketing for Porter-Walker, a distributor of construction and industrial supplies, where he managed strategic account sales. Prior to that, Washburn held a series of leadership positions over his 13-year career with Insituform Technologies Inc., a provider of pipe rehabilitation and trenchless technology solutions. In his most recent position, he led strategic sales and marketing operations for national accounts with a focus in the construction industry, and was responsible for consistently driving double-digit revenue growth.
