Hurricane Danielle Headed East of Bermuda

The U.S. National Hurricane Center is reporting that Hurricane Danielle is still a category two hurricane, with sustained winds of 105 miles per hour, and that it is expected to strengthen somewhat in the next 24 hours.

As of early this morning, the hurricane was about 700 miles southeast of Bermuda and moving toward the islands at 15 miles per hour. At that rate, it should pass just east of Bermuda on Sunday, Aug. 29.

Bermuda is expected to experience large swells and battering surf.
