Brennan J. Paris has been named the new executive vice president of the Professional Insurance Agents (PIA) of Tennessee. He is the sixth executive leader in the history of the association.
Prior to joining PIA, Paris represented Johnson & Johnson, Inc., an insurance managing general agency headquartered in Charleston, South Carolina, as the Tennessee and North Georgia marketing representative. He has also worked for Frontline Homeowners Insurance based in Lake Mary, Florida, and Bristol West Insurance Group located in Davie, Florida.
The PIA of Tennessee is an association of independent insurance agents, representing their interests before state regulatory and legislative bodies and providing education and services. The PIA of Tennessee, based in Franklin, is an affiliate of the National Association of Professional Insurance Agents, which is headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia. It was founded in 1935 as the Tennessee Association of Mutual Insurance Agents.
“I am extremely honored and excited to be appointed to lead this association. The future is very bright for the PIA of Tennessee and I am looking forward to expanding our footprint here in the state. We will focus on broadening our products and services offered so that we can better assist our members in serving their communities,” said Paris.
Paris is a graduate of the University of Georgia. He also holds the Certified Insurance Counselor designation and is completing the Certified Risk Manager designation program.
Paris replaces Jim Maden, who was named executive vice president in 1989.
