JLT Re (North America) Inc., part of the global provider of reinsurance broking and consultancy, has appointed Ariel Hernandez as senior vice president in Miami. Hernandez will join the treaty team in Miami and lead the analytics efforts for the Caribbean, Central America and broader Latin America Region for JLT Re.
Hernandez joins JLT Re from the Chaucer Syndicates Ltd of The Hanover Insurance Group, Inc., where he was a treaty underwriter. Prior to Chaucer, he worked at Swiss Re America Corporation as vice president, client manager and Market underwriter, focusing on delivering reinsurance products to clients in the region.
According to David Flandro, Global head of Analytics for JLT Re said, Hernandez’s appointment further strengthens JLT Re’s analytics function, particularly in Latin America.
Ariel joined JLT Re in early March.
