SUNZ Holdings, headquartered in Bradenton, Fla., has acquired Ascential Care Partners, LLC, a national URAC accredited case management and utilization review company.
The purchase and associated capital contribution strengthen the financial position of Ascential and enhance the ability of Ascential and SUNZ Holdings to control claims costs for their large deductible workers’ compensation insurance clients.
According to Steven F. Herrig, chief executive officer of SUNZ Holdings, the acquisition gives Sunz the ability to “make a meaningful difference to an injured worker’s recovery and return to normalcy,” as well as reduce the ultimate cost of claims
Richard Leonardo, CEO of Ascential said the relationship with SUNZ Holdings will allow the company to bring more nurses into its platform and become a one stop shop for telephonic and field nurse case management services.
Ascential Care provides patient driven managed care services to clients nationwide.
SUNZ Holdings, provides large deductible workers’ compensation insurance and insurance services to professional employer organizations, staffing companies and large employers. It designs and administers custom workers’ compensation insurance programs, and provides loss control, claims administration, cost containment and subrogation services.
