Windhaven Insurance of Florida Appoints Rosilier as Chief Financial Officer

Windhaven Insurance has named John D. Rosilier as chief financial officer of the Miami-based auto insurance carrier, according to Jimmy E. Whited, CEO of Windhaven Insurance & The Hearth Insurance Group.

In this new role, Rosilier will be responsible for managing financial performance and developing operational and capital plans for the continued growth and expansion of Windhaven Insurance and The Hearth Insurance Group brands.

Prior to joining Windhaven, Rosilier served as senior vice president and chief financial officer in the Property and Casualty Division at National Lloyds Insurance Corp., a Dallas subsidiary of Hilltop Holdings with more than $13.7 billion in assets. During his tenure, Rosilier was responsible for a restructuring effort with Hilltop Holdings and helped to secure an “A” rating from A.M. Best based on the financial performance of National Lloyds.

Rosilier also spent close to two decades at United Services Automobile Association (USAA), a diversified financial services group based in San Antonio, in the Property and Casualty Division as vice president and CFO and earlier as assistant VP for Financial and Enterprise Planning and Analysis.

Whited said Rosilier’s extensive financial and leadership experience with large insurance players will contribute to the company’s growth as well as the funding of new opportunities, especially via its insurtech software company – ClutchAnalytics.

The inventor of a method for evaluating customers’ product profitability, Rosilier owns a patent for a “Consumer-level financial performance analysis.”

The Hearth Insurance Group protects homeowner and soon-to-be automobile policyholders in Florida and Texas. The Tampa-based insurance company underwrites coverage through State National Company, Inc.
