Alliant Adds Chanin, Barham to Help Grow Private Client Practice in Southeast

Alliant Insurance Services has made two personnel additions to its private client team in South Florida.

Karen Chanin has joined Alliant as VP and will focus on the company’s private client growth strategy, which has been enhanced by its recent acquisition of Crystal & Company.

Chanin has more than 30 years of personal insurance experience in both the Southern California and South Florida markets. Prior to joining Alliant, Chanin was vice president and client advisor manager within the Private Client Services group of an international insurance brokerage firm.

Bob Bennetsen, executive vice president and senior managing director with Alliant, said Chanin’s sales and client service expertise on the private client will help the company as it continues to grow its presence within South Florida and the greater Southeast region.

The company also hired Melinda Meissner Barham as senior vice president. She will provide customized insurance and consulting to high-net-worth individuals throughout the Southeast. Barham will also work in a business development role, facilitating Alliant’s continued growth within this region.

Barham has more than 20 years of personal insurance experience. Prior to joining Alliant, She was senior vice president and the Southeast U.S. Sales leader within the Private Client Services group of an international insurance brokerage firm.
