People Moves: Chubb Names Georgia-Based Booker, Meyer to EVP Roles; Skipper Joins Palomar; The Villages Adds Dooley

Chubb

Chubb announced leadership appointments within its North America Property business unit and in its wholesale excess and surplus lines division, Westchester.

Matt Booker has been appointed Executive Vice President, Westchester Property and Inland Marine, where he will have responsibility for leading overall efforts, including new business development, strategic direction, and implementation of underwriting strategy and product development of all property and inland marine products and services. Based in Alpharetta, Georgia, Booker will report to Scott Meyer, Senior Vice President, Chubb Group, and Division President of Westchester.

Bob Meyer, who previously served as head of Westchester Property and Inland Marine, has been named to a newly created role in Chubb North America Property as Executive Vice President, North America Property, where he will report to Derek Talbott, Division President, North America Property, and serve as a key member of Chubb’s North America Property management team.

As part of his expanded responsibilities, he will focus on building and developing employee training for all North America Property, as well as providing continued underwriting direction and guidance to Westchester. In his new role, Meyer will be responsible for strategic planning, portfolio management, including CAT management, and reinsurance strategy. Meyer will continue to be based in Alpharetta, Georgia.

Palomar

Palomar Insurance has added Luke Skipper to their sales team as an Account Executive, specializing in commercial insurance. Skipper specializes in the food distribution industry.

Prior to joining Palomar, Skipper worked for Amwins, a leading specialty insurance distributor. He also has over ten years of experience in food & beverage distribution.

The Villages

The Villages Insurance Partners has added James Dooley to its team of Personal Lines Risk Consultants. Dooley joins the team in their Mulberry Grove location, specializing in home, auto, golf car, renters, and umbrella insurance policies.

Dooley moved to Florida in 1991 to work in the banking industry, where he concentrated on loan products for consumers. He made the transition to Insurance in 2015 with USAA and obtained his 20-40 license in 2016. Dooley joined The Villages Insurance Partners in early 2021 where he entered the agency’s extensive training program.

The Villages Insurance has 8 locations and provides insurance and risk management to over 40,000 families and businesses.
