SIU Names David Green Practice Leader for Professional Lines

Georgia-based Southern Insurance Underwriters has named David Green its new practice leader for professional lines.

Green, who previously was the new-business manager for real estate errors and ommissions at Norman-Spencer Agency, will focus on E&O, directors and officers, and miscellaneous professional coverages, SIU said in a news release.

Green also worked in underwriting at Berkley Select in Chicago for their lawyers and accountants programs.

Established in 1964 by W.C. Duesenberg, SIU is a 56-year-old managing general agency headquartered in Alpharetta, Georgia. SIU offers a range of products to independent insurance agents, including personal property, workers’ compensation, inland marine, professional lines, forest products, commercial transportation and commercial property and casualty.

McGriff Makes Norgan VP

McGriff, a commercial insurance broker and subsidiary of Truist Insurance Holdings, announced it had named Lanette Morgan vice president of its energy practice, based in Birmingham, Alabama.

Norgan, who has experience in employee benefits and property and casualty insurance in the energy sector, will also serve as account executive, McGriff said in a news release. Norgan will assist clients in streamlining their risk management and insurance programs.

McGriff describes itself as a full-service insurance broker that provides risk management and insurance solutions to clients across the United States. The firm’s coverages include commercial property and casualty, corporate bonding and surety services, cyber, management liability, captives and alternative risk transfer programs, small business, employee benefits, title insurance, personal lines, and life and health.

Truist Insurance Holdings is the sixth largest insurance broker in the U.S. and seventh largest in the world, and is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Truist Bank.
