Wright Flood, which offers a number of flood insurance products, announced that Angie LaTour has been hired as vice president of sales and marketing.
LaTour has 27 years’ experience in property and casualty insurance, including flood, auto, home and commercial lines, the St. Petersburg, Florida-based company said in a news release. Previously, she was a sales manager at Florida Peninsula and Edison Insurance companies and was assistant vice president of operations at Fidelity National P&C, which is now part of Wright Flood.
Wright notes that it has been around for 40 years and works through a network of more than 17,000 independent agents.
Skyward Specialty Insurance Group named two people to executive positions. Tim Brewer, who was recently vice president of commercial surety with Swiss Re, has been hired to a similar position at Skyward. Brewer is based in South Carolina. Skwyard is headquartered in Houston.
Skyward also said that Dan Kearney will oversee the excess and surplus liability team. Kearney recently was with North Carolina-based IAT Insurance Group.
Skyward is a property and casualty insurance holding company with nearly $1 billion in premium and $2 billion in assets, the company said in a news release.
