ClearPath Mutual Insurance Co., a Kentucky-domiciled workers’ compensation insurance provider, has expanded into West Virginia, the company announced.
ClearPath, which writes almost $50 million in premiums, said it is the second-largest workers’ comp carrier in Kentucky. It began about 40 years ago in Louisville and expanded into Tennessee and Indiana in 2019 and 2020, the company said in a news release. It has about 7,000 policyholders.
Jeff Borkowski is CEO. The expansion into West Virginia is set for May 1.
