Ascendant Names Three Marketing Reps

Ascendant Insurance Solutions, based in Coral Gables, Florida, has named three new marketing representatives.

Jackie Cook, with more than 30 years of experience in commercial and personal lines insurance, will cover Florida’s west coast, central and northern territories, Ascendant said in a statement. Cook previously was territory manager for the Florida Association of Insurance Agents, managing the errors and ommissions book of business for 2,300 member agencies. She also worked as an advocate during sessions of the Florida Legislature.

Carlos Peñate has been in the insurance industry for some three decades, with national and regional carriers. At a medical evaluation company, he worked to combat personal injury protection (PIP) fraud.

Maybel Breijo, now in her 25^th year in insurance, started at an independent agency then moved to a regional carrier.

Tennessee Farm Bureau Names Ballard District Insurance Director

Tennessee Farm Bureau has appointed Kim Ballard as its District III insurance director.

Ballard has worked with Farm Bureau for more than a quarter-century and was Franklin County Farm Bureau president for the past seven years, the organization said. She also teaches science at Lincoln County High School and works the family farm.
