Higginbotham has continued its expansion this year with another acquisition, this one of Stahl & Associates, one of the largest privately held commercial brokerages in Florida.
Texas-based Higginbotham, which celebrated its 75th anniversary this year, has acquired a number of agencies in 2023, including ones in Ohio, Texas and New Mexico. The terms of the deal with Stahl & Associates were not disclosed.
Stahl & Associates was founded in 1983 and has offices in St. Petersburg, Lakeland, Oldsmar and Longwood, Florida. It specializes in commercial risk and employee benefits for industries that include construction, manufacturing, nonprofit and health care. Bob Stahl is president and CEO.
It’s the second Florida acquisition for Higginbotham, which acquired Pensacola-based McMahon & Hadder Insurance in 2020, the company said in a news release.
