Major insurance groups have elevated team members to top positions around the South.

Tampa-based BRP Group, an independent insurance distribution firm, has named Dan Galbraith and Jim Roche to be co-presidents of the company.

Galbraith, who has been chief operating officer at BRP, will now oversee BRP’s retail brokerage operations. Roche, who was recently the group’s chief insurance innovation officer, will manage underwriting, capacity and technology, BRP said in a news release.

Galbraith joined BRP Group in 2019. Prior to that, he was senior vice president of sales for Stericycle’s North America Compliance Services Business. Before that, he was with Cintas Corp. in operations and sales leadership roles.

Roche also joined BRP in 2019 and co-founded the group’s Millenial Specialty Insurance. Previously, he was vice president of strategy, initiatives and analytics at QBE Insurance.

California-based Alliant Insurance Services announced that Chris Meadows will be senior vice president for its Americas Division, based in Nashville. He has 37 years in risk management and recently was vice president for a national brokerage.

Alliant also said it had named Elizabeth Rutledge as a producer in its employee benefits group, based somewhere in the Southeast. She has 18 years’ experience in benefits.
