ABD Insurance and Financial Services now ranks as the third largest U.S. broker of D&O liability insurance, according to the 1999 Annual Tillinghast-Towers Perrin Survey.
As one of the nation’s premier D&O brokers, ABD further increased its market share in 1999 and is now within 2 percentage points of the survey’s top ranking.
With $70 million in annual revenue, ABD is the largest independently owned insurance brokerage and employee benefit consulting firm in the western United States.
Of the 1,325 participants surveyed, the majority were publicly traded U.S. corporations. Roughly one-quarter of the participants were involved in an initial public offering (IPO) within the past five years, while a little more than one-half experienced merger, acquisition or divestiture activity during that same time period.
Headquartered in Belmont, Calif., ABD has branch locations in the North Bay, the Central Coast, San Francisco, Sacramento and Southern California.
