Hilb, Rogal and Hamilton Company has acquired substantially all of the assets of Granite Insurance Services, an insurance agency in Portland, Oregon. The acquisition establishes HRH’s initial presence in the Pacific Northwest as an insurance broker for middle-market businesses.
In addition to general agency operations, Granite specializes in insurance programs tailored for specific businesses and professions.
Among Granite’s larger insurance programs are those which serve bankruptcy trustees, service station operators and petroleum jobbers. Terms of the purchase were not disclosed.
