IBA West and State Fund Offer New Group Workers’ Comp Program

IBAgroupcomp is a new California group workers’ compensation insurance plan developed by IBA West and the State Compensation Insurance Fund.

Designed to reduce the net cost of workers’ compensation insurance for IBA West association members, the plan offers claims handling and medical management programs with the goal of an early return to work for injured workers. Some of the plan’s perks include a toll-free claims reporting center available to all policyholders, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. IBA West members can get answers to their questions from a team of workers’ compensation specialists, and a unit of trained anti-fraud personnel is tasked with uncovering fraudulent workers’ comp claims.

State Fund is providing free safety materials, such as sample forms and employee training videos, to help members develop an effective accident prevention program. State Fund is California’s largest provider of workers’ comp coverage, with approximately 230,000 policyholders ranging from small businesses to the nation’s largest group insurance program.
