Facilities and Services Corporation (FSC), based in Agoura Hills, Calif., and Insurance Data Technologies Inc. (IDT) entered a joint venture marketing agreement with the goal of enhancing their respective “Comparative Rating” and “Point of Sale” systems to California private passenger auto agents. With more than 4,000 retail agent installations, the FSC rater is one of the leading private passenger auto rating service in California.
The integration of the IDT point of sale system will give the agent a more comprehensive method of selling auto insurance. The IDT system functions over the Internet to improve efficiency, reduce customer service activity, reduce errors and reduce a company’s internal operating expenses while providing more underwriting control. FSC President Robert Meyerson and IDT President Peter Whalen are emphatic that this new joint effort will improve and expand their products and services to the benefit of agents and their respective companies and/or MGAs.
