Insuring the Children (ITC), the insurance industry’s initiative to end child abuse and neglect, has received a $10,000 commitment from The Southern California Regional Office of The Hartford Financial Services Group Inc.
The nonprofit organization made the announcement at its Seventh Annual Forum, attended by approximately 150 insurance industry leaders at the California Grand Hotel in Anaheim, Calif.
The Hartford’s grant will help ITC further its work funding child abuse prevention programs and care facilities in Southern California.
The Hartford’s Southern California regional office was one of five regional offices nationwide to be awarded the company’s coveted President’s Award, a $10,000 grant to give to a local charity of their choice. The 2000 President’s Award was presented to the Southern California regional office in recognition of its significant contribution towards The Hartford’s growth and profit objectives and for its dedication to sales and service to independent insurance agents.
ITC is a non-profit organization created by insurance industry leaders with the goal of supporting child abuse prevention programs and more than $730,000 to assist child abuse prevention centers.
