ConfirmNet Uses IVANS Transformation Station to Build Certificate of Insurance Interface

August 6, 2001

San Diego-based ConfirmNet Corporation, the developers of the CertificatesNowÔ service, reported that by using the IVANS Transformation Statio™, it will be able to provide a real-time data exchange between the Applied Systems WinTAM product and CertificatesNow for creating and issuing certificates of insurance.

CertificatesNow is an online service allowing agents and their insureds to create, deliver and manage certificates of insurance for third parties requiring evidence of the types and limits of policies in force. IVANS Transformation Station will be used to securely transmit a “standard” XML certificate transaction containing commercial insurance policy data and certificate holder information from Applied Systems agency management systems to CertificatesNow over the Internet.

According to Rick Morgan, executive vice president of ConfirmNet, the company is excited about being part of an industry initiative, which will give users of Applied Systems two-way integration with CertificatesNow. The process will eliminate redundant data entry and gives agencies and their insureds access to very sophisticated certificate of insurance capabilities.

Dana Nulty-Beals, president of the Applied Systems Client Network (ASCnet), the users group of Applied Systems agent technology, added that ASCnet applauds this initiative and considers it a great example of how Applied Systems is working with third party vendors such as ConfirmNet to bring added benefit to their users.
