In an ongoing effort to improve services to insurers, the California Department of Insurance (CDI) launched a new online Rate File Review Standards Checklist for property and casualty insurers on the department’s website, www.insurance.ca.gov.
According to Commissioner Harry Low, the new online checklist will assist insurers navigating through the previous approval rate filing review process. Low commented that this is another example of CDI’s effort to utilize the convenience of technology to further streamline processes and increase efficiency for insurers under the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act.
The new checklists provide insurers with comprehensive information regarding California’s regulatory requirements and applicable code sections to assist insurers with the complexities of the property and casualty rate filing process.
