California-based Insurance Technology Solutions Inc., an e-policy provider of web-based insurance technology, purchased through a sister company certain assets of Star Solutions Inc., a provider of client/server property and casualty software solutions for insurance carriers and managing general agents.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The assets acquired include the fully automated Policy Rate and Issue System for property and casualty insurance companies and their agents. With the acquisition of this system, ITS is able to accelerate its ability to create and deliver a web-based solution for any sized carrier.
