California-based Monarch E&S Insurance Services was recently awarded the “Company of the Year” award from the Insurance Brokers and Agents of the San Fernando Valley.
Derek Borisoff, Chairman of the Board of Monarch, who also received the “Company Person of the Year” two years ago from the association noted, “We are very excited to receive this award. As I understand it, we’re the only MGA to ever receive the company of the year award from this organization. We’re most happy to support the groups out there as they’re our customers. We’re happy to continue donating money to the organizations and providing whatever services we can.”
Bruce Maxwell, CFO of Knight Insurance and a member of the nominating committee for the award, noted the award goes to an insurance company or provider who has supported the association both over a long-term and short-term basis. “Monarch is probably the one booster member of our association who has been the longest-standing supporter of our activities and organization for many years,” Maxwell said.
“They’ve created a market for a variety of insurance products and services for our members,” Maxwell continued. “Derek has been both individually supportive and a key contact person for agents and brokers to talk to when they have specialized insurance needs.”
