22nd IRMI Construction Risk Conf. to be Held in San Diego, Nov. 11-14

The 22nd International Risk Management Institute (IRMI) Construction Risk Conference will take place Nov. 11 through Nov. 14, 2002, in San Diego. The three-and-a-half day conference is devoted exclusively to construction, insurance, risk management, loss control, and bonding. The program is designed for construction industry risk management and financial officers, construction project owners, and the insurance and surety agents, brokers, advisers, and underwriters who serve them.

The Construction Risk Conference is redesigned each year and features more than 25 presentations by insurance, safety, legal, and bonding experts from throughout the United States. The theme for this year’s conference is “Succeeding in a Difficult Market.” Some of the topics to be explored include Design-Build Risks and Insurance; Surviving the Changes in the Surety Market; Builders Risk Insurance; Safety and Loss Control; Workers Compensation Claims Management; OCIPs; General Liability Coverage; Contract Review and Execution; Innovations in Construction Insurance; Umbrella Liability Insurance; Update on Mold Coverage and Claims; Risk Financing; Captive Feasibility Study; and How To Obtain the Best Overall Insurance Program in a Competitive Proposal Environment.

The conference begins with four optional 1-day seminars conducted on Nov. 11. This year’s seminar topics are What’s Hot in Construction Risk Management, General Liability Issues, Construction Insurance 101, and Loss Control in Construction.
