Napa, Calif.-based surplus lines brokerage M.J. Hall and Company Inc. announced that Colleen M. Ryan has joined as a broker. Ryan will be responsible for producing new business opportunities in the commercial property, liability and professional liability marketplace.
Ryan began her career in 1988 wholesaling programs, first with Moore Insurance and the CSSA Gas Station and Auto Repair Program then with John Sutak Insurance Brokers working with retail agents on the Wine Program. In 1995, she moved to Fireman’s Fund as an Agency Sales Manager, responsible for developing products and programs for and with retail agents in the Northern California Marketplace. In 2000, she joined Transamerica Insurance Finance with similar responsibilities, but with a host of additional product offerings, concentrating on the development of captives. In 2001, Premium Financing Specialists purchased Transamerica where she continued her focus on finding creative business solutions for her retail agents.
In 2003, Ryan was accepted as a Qualified Mediator by the California Department of Insurance. Throughout her career Ryan has provided custom designed solutions to agencies throughout the Northern California region.
