Riordan, Zaremberg to Keynote IICF Bridge Week Luncheons

October 6, 2003

The Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation’s (IICF) annual Bridge Week will take place again this year from Oct. 11 – Oct. 19. Highlighting the week will be two separate luncheons, one in northern California, and one in southern California.

The northern California luncheon will be held Oct. 8 at the Palace Hotel in San Francisco. Allan Zaremberg, CEO/president of the California Chamber of Commerce, will be the keynote speaker. He will speak on “The State of the State: The Insurance Industry and the California Economy.”

The southern California luncheon will be held Oct. 29 at the California Club in Los Angeles. Richard J. Riordan, former Mayor of the City of Los Angeles, will be the keynote speaker. His topic will be “The Future of California: Economically and Socially.” He will be available for a question & answer period after his speech.

Both luncheons will also feature some of IICF’s grantees. More information and registration forms for both luncheons can be found on IICF’s Web site at www.iicf.org.

IICF Bridge Week is a statewide effort to bridge the state and build bridges into the communities through volunteerism. Held over a nine-day period, thousands of insurance industry employee volunteers provide three hours or more of volunteer service at neighborhood nonprofit organizations.
