Gomez Joins ePolicy Solutions as VP, Enterprise Program Office

October 24, 2003

ePolicy Solutions announced that Susan Gomez has joined the company as vice president, enterprise program office.

Gomez’ immediate task is to enhance the enterprise program office for the rapidly growing company, which recently added a top 10 U.S. property and casualty insurer to its customer roster. She also is responsible for program management oversight between the company’s offices in the United States and ePolicy’s dedicated development center in Mumbai, India, a CMM Level 5 software engineering facility.

“Susan brings nearly 20 years of proven leadership experience delivering and supporting technology and business initiatives,” said McCarter. “We needed someone who could immediately take the reins of our enterprise program office and especially the coordination between our U.S. offices and offshore development center.

The ePolicy Solutions’ enterprise program office oversees all programs and projects. It establishes governance for the complete ePolicy Solutions portfolio, including all customer and internal projects. The office also is responsible for overall project management and software development and configuration of the RightRisk™ solution for customer engagements.

“What interested me the most about ePolicy Solutions was the combination of the depth of its management team and its ability to offer the highest level of software technology engineering,” said Gomez. “I’m looking forward to continually transforming our enterprise program office to ensure that all programs and projects are conducted within the defined contract, cost, scope, schedule, quality, technical, and supportability requirements.”

RightRisk pairs robust Java-based, object-oriented architecture with a Web interface for full policy processing end to end. It helps property and casualty companies become more competitive by automating their underwriting, rating, quoting, binding and issuance processes online in real time.

Previously, Gomez was vice president of IT strategy and transformation with the California State Automobile Association. Prior to CSAA, she was vice president of enterprise process and architecture for Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company, where she defined and implemented processes to transform the IT organization by institutionalizing rigor and discipline for governing the company’s $170 million investment.
