Itasca, Ill.-based brokerage giant Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. announced the acquisition of Avery-Hammer Insurance Associates, Inc. of Fresno, California. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Founded in 1980, Avery-Hammer Insurance Associates Inc. is a full-service retail insurance broker offering risk management and commercial property/casualty insurance services to their California client base. They specialize in insurance products for higher education institutions and non-profit organizations. William Avery and his staff will continue to operate in their Fresno, Calif., location under the direction of James McFarlane, West Coast regional manager of Gallagher’s retail brokerage services division.
