QBE the Americas Licenses FormsPlus

February 16, 2004

Allen Beggs, president and co founder of Valencia, Calif.-based QualCorp,Inc. announced that QBE the Americas (“QBE”) has licensed the FormsPlus Enterprise product.

QBE will use the FormsPlus Enterprise solution, in conjunction with the AscendantOne® rating and policy-management solutions, to issue the following lines of commercial insurance policies: commercial package, auto, property, general liability, inland marine, crime, businessowners program (BOP) and umbrella in more than 40 states.

“After an extensive search, we are pleased that QualCorp, Inc. is QBE’s vendor of choice. John LaCava, Sr. VP & CIO wanted to give his general agents the ability to rate and issue policies over the Internet,” commented Beggs.

QBE will enter its rating information into the browser-based rating system offered by AscendantOne, a unit of ISO. Upon acceptance of the quote by the insured, the integration between AscendantOne and QualCorp Inc. will automatically send an XML data stream to FormsPlus Enterprise and pull all necessary policy forms based on coverage information and state requirements and populate those forms with all of the necessary data to automatically create the various copies of the policy without any human intervention.

The FormsPlus system will automatically distribute the various copies of the completed policy to the general agent, retail agent, carrier and insured through a pre-defined print routine designed by QualCorp, Inc. Policy administration including, endorsements, cancellations, renewals and re-instatements will be handled by the AscendantOne policy system and the output will be printed and distributed by QualCorp Inc.’s FormsPlus Enterprise solution.
