February 24, 2004

Los Angeles-based Brown & Riding Insurance Services has announced that Juliette Gamini and Monika Arboles have joined the company as brokers.

Juliette Gamini joins the Brown & Riding team with 10 years of industry experience, primarily as an underwriter with large insurance carriers. She began her career at AIG/Lexington as a Directors & Officers Liability underwriter, and has also spent time at Chubb, AIG/National Union, and Atlantic Mutual insurance companies. Her expertise includes D&O, employment practices liability, kidnap/ransom extortion, technology errors & omissions, and package policies, including property, casualty, auto, umbrella, and workers compensation. Gamini will work closely with Ramon Howing, a partner in the firm, in the company’s San Mateo office.

“I am pleased that Juliette has chosen to join the company,” said Chris A. Brown, President of Brown & Riding. “Her solid multi-line underwriting background adds depth and experience to our San Mateo team, and her client service orientation meshes well with the B&R philosophy of putting our clients first at all times.”

Monika Arboles has joined Brown & Riding as a Casualty Broker. Arboles comes to Brown & Riding with over 10 years of legal and corporate management experience. After graduating from law school in 1993, she spent several years with law firms, litigating construction defect lawsuits and counseling large corporations about risk exposures related to employment practices liability issues. Most recently, Arboles served as Vice President and Assistant General Counsel for Luminent Inc., a publicly-traded high-tech manufacturing company.

“Monika’s legal background brings a unique perspective to Brown & Riding,” said Brown. “Her experience with insurance-related legal issues will help us develop innovative solutions to the more complex coverage issues that often come up in our line of work, ultimately allowing us to help our clients bring greater value to the end buyer/insured.”
