ADP Claims Services Group Launches First Full-Featured Web-Based Estimating Solution

June 8, 2004

ADP Claims Services Group, a provider of integrated business solutions for the property and casualty, collision repair and automotive recycling industries, announced the availability of ADP Estimating, the first full-featured Web-based estimating solution.

ADP Estimating offers all the same robust features and functionality of existing estimating products in the market but now adds the advantages of real-time access to parts and labor data as it becomes available and eliminates the need for loading CDs. ADP has pioneered a web-based estimating system that is fully integrated with every aspect of the claims management workflow — all in a single system available to collision repair shops, independent appraisers, and insurance companies. Industry participants can now share the same estimate during the review process, which dramatically reduces cycle time and improves communication between parties. Shops and insurance companies no longer have to interpret and reconcile different calculations made by different systems.

Clients can now easily and seamlessly dispatch the appraisal, write estimates, perform total loss valuations, audit the estimate and write reports all from one system and all on the Web. Total loss valuation requests are performed through a new, Web-based version of Autosource®, also launched today by ADP. Autosource is the world’s largest database of “for sale” vehicle information with twice the vehicle coverage of its nearest competitor and nearly 20 times the number of vehicles. The seamless integration between ADP Estimating and Autosource eliminates the need for double entry of claims information, resulting in increased productivity and improved accuracy.

ADP is also announcing the integration of new Real Steel recycled parts data from vendors with real-time availability and pricing, all within a unique and intuitive user interface in ADP Estimating.

ADP Estimating makes it easier for shops and carriers. The Web-based ADP Estimating lets clients take immediate advantage of the latest features and functionality as it becomes available — they are always using the most current version on the Web without time-consuming software upgrades. Clients have no dedicated hardware or software to install, increasing convenience and reducing costs. In addition, clients also get the best of all worlds. On-the- road appraisers still have the flexibility of using the CD-based version of ADP Estimating when they do not have access to the Internet.

Supported by ADP’s industry-leading world-class service and training options, ADP Estimating provides unique learn-as-you-go “Show-Me” tutorials that make it easier for new shop employees and appraisers to get up and running quickly. Clients can also write estimates faster and more accurately with Smart Estimating’s new advanced decision support and new logical drill-in and drill-out navigation.
