August 10, 2004

Emily Lomax, senior vice president, division director of Los Angeles-based Heritage General Agency recently announced that they will be expanding their reach into Arizona with a new office headed by Kathy Skor. As underwriter at the new Arizona facility, Skor will be responsible for brokerage, MGA business and serving the needs of HGA current and prospective Arizona and southwestern agents.

Skor began her insurance career in1989 as a processor at Lovullo Associates in Buffalo, New York. When she moved to California in 1994, she joined Black/White & Associates as a CSR and worked closely with Julie Savage-Downes. They formed a strong alliance and after several years, they left as a team to open the Heritage General office in Orange County. Over the next six years, Kathy’s responsibilities grew and she gradually assumed the position of Supervisor – maintaining constant customer communication at HGA’s growing Orange County office.

“Kathy’s decision to move to Arizona came at just the right time,” said Lomax. “Our carriers are anxious to expand and Kathy is the ideal person to represent Heritage General and our corporate culture to Arizona agents and brokers.”

According to Skor, she will be concentrating on several target markets for Arizona agents: Apartments, Bars/Taverns/Restaurants (incl. Liquor), Dwellings, Garage Liability, OCP, Premises Only, and Vacant Land.

The new office will be located in the Worldwide Facilities current office at 1730 E Northern Avenue, Suite 124, Phoenix, Arizona 85020. Kathy Skor can be reached by phone: (602) 482-5639 ext. 101 or e-mail k_skor@heritagegeneral.com. Fax is (602) 943-6220.
