Lockton Companies, the nation’s largest independently owned insurance broker, has appointed Douglas E. Holm to the post of vice president, Commercial Insurance Division. He will be based in Lockton’s San Francisco office.
Holm has worked in the insurance industry for more than 20 years in the Bay Area. Most recently, he was vice president with a national insurance brokerage firm where he was responsible for the development and execution of Marine and Engineered Products programs. Prior to his experience in the insurance industry, he was in sales and marketing for several engineering firms.
In his new position, Holm will assume a leadership role in the Marine Practice, which is integral to the company’s operations in Northern California.
Commenting on his appointment, Russ Sands, chairman and CEO of Lockton San Francisco, said, “The addition of Doug represents a significant development in Lockton’s west coast operations. Doug not only has deep experience and knowledge in the Marine sector, but also strong relationships with clients — a combination that will certainly contribute to our reputation for providing the highest levels of service in our industry.”
