Superior Access Offers “Direct Access”

March 11, 2005

Richard Swoy, chairman of Irvine, Calif.-based Superior Access Insurance Services, announced the newest offering from SAIS, “Direct Access.” SAIS is now considering new premium subscriber agencies for “Direct Access.”

“Selected California insurance agencies will become our premium subscribers with direct access to selected insurance companies,” Swoy said. Both commercial lines and personal lines are available to California agencies that qualify for the “Direct Access” program. “Direct Access” is primarily intended for small town, rural and suburban agencies of small to medium size with good loss experience.

Mike Reiter, VP premium subscriptions said that the qualification process will be more stringent for new premium subscribers. “We named the program ‘Direct Access’ because our premium subscribers will work directly with selected insurance companies,” Reiter said. “These premium subscriber agencies will rate, quote submit and bind new business, renewals and changes directly with the participating insurance carriers.

“Normally, an insurance company participating in Direct Access will provide premium subscriber agencies with their company’s electronic interface and treat these agencies just like any other agency with a direct contract,” he continued. “Once we have California up and running, we will consider other states.”

The existing program for subscribers who use the markets on the SAIS Web site remains unchanged. However, premium subscribers will have access both to the selected companies participating in Direct Access and “Preferred Access” to everything else available in their state on the SAIS website. Preferred access to additional markets on the SAIS Web site involves significant fee discounts and increased commission for Premium Subscribers.

Premium subscriber costs include: $1,000 one-time enrollment fee due when making final application (this fee can be refunded when reasonable volume levels are met) and a $300 monthly subscription fee (this fee can be reduced when reasonable volume levels are met).

Premium subscribers earn at least 70 percent of the commission paid by insurance companies under the Direct Access program. s volume levels are met, premium subscribers can earn up to 85 percent of the commission. Premium subscribers can also qualify for profit sharing. Premium subscribers can also access everything on our site with no broker fees.

Superior Access Insurance Services Inc. is an online wholesaler of insurance products and services providing real-time, underwritten quotes to its network of thousands of retail insurance agencies.
