Dickstein Shapiro Opens California Office

All of the attorneys and staff from the Los Angeles-based law firm Pasich & Kornfeld, LLP will join Dickstein Shapiro Morin & Oshinsky LLP, creating an insurance coverage practice in the country and a West Coast presence for Washington, DC-based Dickstein Shapiro.

Pasich & Kornfeld represents insureds in all types of insurance coverage matters. The firm also represents many entertainment institutions and individuals in insurance recovery matters.

“Our goal when founding Pasich & Kornfeld was to create an entrepreneurial environment that would allow us to pursue opportunities that the structure of our previous firms could not accommodate,” said Kirk Pasich, a founding partner of Pasich & Kornfeld. “We’ve had a great experience, but Dickstein Shapiro presents a unique opportunity for us. We are honored to join the firm’s highly regarded insurance coverage practice.”

Led by Jerry Oshinsky, Dickstein Shapiro specializes in protecting corporate policyholders’ rights in environmental liability, products liability, patent infringement liability, liability for sexual discrimination or harassment, and directors’ and officers’ liability.

Ten Pasich & Kornfeld attorneys will be joining Dickstein Shapiro. Kirk Pasich, Linda Kornfeld, Clyde Hettrick, and Susan Page White will join as partners. Pasich will be a member of Dickstein Shapiro’s Executive Committee. Kornfeld will be the managing partner of Dickstein Shapiro’s California Office, and Hettrick will be a member of Dickstein Shapiro’s Business Development Committee. Cassandra Franklin and Cassandra Shivers will join as of counsel; Pamela Woods will join as counsel; and Julia Holt, Dan Rylaarsdam, and Sharon Tom will join as associates. The attorneys and staff will remain at their current location at 10866 Wilshire Boulevard, Suite 300, Los Angeles, CA 90024-4350.

Dickstein Shapiro now has offices in Washington, DC, New York City, and Los Angeles, CA.
