PIA Oregon/Idaho to Conduct CIC and CISR Programs in Idaho

August 30, 2005

The National Alliance for Insurance Education & Research and the Professional Insurance Agents of Oregon/Idaho have announced that the PIA of Oregon/Idaho will assume administrative leadership of the Certified Insurance Counselors and Certified Insurance Service Representatives Programs in Idaho.

The CIC Program, founded in 1969, is a source of advanced, technical education for the practicing insurance professional. The CISR Program, developed as a companion program to CIC in 1986, provides practical education and training for all agency and company employees, particularly customer service representatives, in both classroom and online formats. Both CIC and CISR are designation programs as well as continuing education opportunities.

The PIA of Oregon/Idaho will conduct its first CIC institute March 8-11, 2006 in Boise, and the first CISR course will commence March 6, 2006. The 2006 program schedule for Idaho has recently been finalized.

“We are working closely with PIA President Randall Carlton, CIC, Executive Vice President Clark Sitzes, and Education Manager Pam Busch to meet the educational needs of the insurance community in Idaho,” “With this new partnership, we are confident that our programs will have a wider reach and accessibility to industry professionals across the state.”

“By offering these proven programs to the insurance professionals of Idaho, through either online, classroom, or in-house presentation, it significantly enhances the career path opportunities available in Idaho,” Randall Carlton explained.
