Dougherty Joins Woodruff-Sawyer

San Francisco-based Woodruff-Sawyer & Co. announced that William Dougherty has joined the firm as an Account Executive with their Directors & Officers Practice. In this role, Dougherty will consult with clients on their Directors & Officers liability insurance programs and develop new business opportunities for the organization.

Before joining Woodruff-Sawyer, Dougherty was the Regional Vice President for Zurich North America in San Francisco. In this role, Dougherty managed the sales and distribution activities for the Northwest region and was responsible for the enterprise marketing activities across all lines of business in the region. In previous positions at Zurich, he was responsible for the underwriting and production of all lines of coverage for financial services organizations, with emphasis on Directors & Officers liability, Professional liability and ancillary coverage for depository and non-depository financial services companies.

Dougherty holds his B.A. degree from University of California, Berkeley; he also holds designations as a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and Registered Professional Liability Underwriter (RPLU).
