SilverPlume Launches Online Benefits and HR Tool

October 5, 2005

SilverPlume, a property and casualty insurance industry’s provider of electronic insurance and risk reference material, has launched Sage Benefits & HR, a subscription-based, online library and reference center used by employee benefit brokers to add value for their employer clients.

Sage Benefits & HR was developed for employee benefits brokers, as well as human resource professionals to provide easy access to in-depth information on hundreds of benefits and HR topics.

“Employers are increasingly turning to their brokers for more than a
quote on a health benefits program. They are looking for advice and
in-depth information about benefit and HR policies, rules and
regulations,” said Shaun McNeill, director of sales and marketing at SilverPlume. “In addition, benefits brokers are searching for ways to differentiate themselves in this highly competitive arena.”

Sage Benefits & HR includes content from several publishers, websites and government sources. The library includes Q&As, research topics, legal summaries, how-to guides, forms, and model documents. Users can search the library for information on benefits or HR topis, including health & welfare benefits, retirement, HIPAA privacy and security, compensation, and HR administration. A ‘hot topics’ area provides access to information on current issues and the latest HR and benefits trends.

“We are finding that brokers who win new clients, retain existing
clients, and grow their businesses are those who are bringing added value to their client relationships,” McNeill said.
