G.J. Sullivan Excess and Surplus Goes Online for Business Owners Policies/Commercial Auto Risks

May 9, 2006

G.J. Sullivan Co., Orange, Calif., has announced that agents in California and Arizona can now go online to www.gjsullivan.com to rate business owners policies and commercial auto risks 24 hours per day..

The online rating system is faster and easier because information needs to entered once to receive multiple quotes from multiple admitted carriers, according to William E. Buckley, president and CEO. Once entered, the information is automatically transmitted to various carriers with an appetite for that risk. Agents follow onscreen as the search engine seeks multiple quotes. Binding is done online, and the agent just collects commissions because the rating system will bill direct and will also generate renewals automatically.

According to Buckley, “We felt that providing multiple quotes from multiple admitted carriers, direct bill, online binding and automatic renewals would make it easier for our agents to write more BOPs and commercial auto. Of course, our staff of professionals is always available to answer questions or assist agents who might have a risk that doesn’t exactly fit this system.”

New agents are welcome. There is no charge to use this online rating service. At this time, the system will rate for California and Arizona agents; but the company plans to add new carriers for additional western states. Risks that do not fit within the limits of the admitted programs may be eligible for coverage from non-admitted carriers, and the G.J. Sullivan Co. underwriters/brokers can assist in finding the right risk for agents unable to fit their risks into the new online rating system.
