Everest, Holdren and PrideMark Insurance Agencies Merge

Everest Insurance, Holdren Insurance Agency and PrideMark Insurance Agents/Brokers have combined organizations to form PrideMark-Everest Insurance Services. The three agencies now operate from PrideMark’s building located at 1820 E. First St., Suite 500, Santa Ana, Calif. The new entity is a member of the Leavitt Group, a support organization for member independent insurance agencies across the United States.

Angelo Maroutsos, managing principal, said in California, PrideMark-Everest Insurance Services, along with the other Leavitt affiliates, will approach $400 million in written premiums. “The volume of premiums and the added expertise brought on by the Leavitt Group allows us to secure improved products and resources for our clients,” he said.

The Leavitt Group is a privately held firm with 1,200 employees, more than 100 offices and premium writings expected to exceed $1.2 billion by year-end 2006.

Everest Insurance Services, founded in 199, specializes in workers compensation, property, general liability, manufacturing and transportation sectors. Servicing more than 400 clients and licensed in 35 states, Everest Insurance Services provides commercial insurance solutions.

Holdren Insurance Agency began as McCord & Holdren in 1965. Bill Holdren founded the agency and helped build the organization to 100 employees in California, Washington and Arizona. Holdren has been in the insurance industry for more than 40 years, specializing in residential and commercial contractors, wholesale distributors, manufacturers and commercial property owners.

PrideMark Insurance opened its doors in 1936 as J.E. Wells Co. in Los Angeles, changing its name to PrideMark in 1986. PrideMark Insurance, a Leavitt Group company, provides businesses and
residents with commercial and personal insurance coverage and risk management services. PrideMark has been a member of the Leavitt Group since 2003.
