The Word & Brown General Agency based in Orange, Calif., has introduced California CPA ProtectPlus, a benefits program designed for certified public accountant (CPA) employers with two to 199 employees, offering it through California licensed health insurance brokers and agents.
Created by CPAs for CPAs, California CPA ProtectPlus is available to members of the California Society of CPAs for businesses identified with SIC 8721: accounting, auditing and bookkeeping services. Firms owned by CPAs who are not currently members of the California Society can qualify for ProtectPlus if membership is approved and implemented.
“With ProtectPlus, small CPA firms throughout California can get the quality health insurance programs and coverage that has typically only been available to larger firms,” said Jim Greth, senior vice president of Word & Brown General Agency, a Word & Brown company. “It allows these employers to provide better rates and more comprehensive benefits for their employees.”
California CPA ProtectPlus offers several benefits through the Blue Cross of California Provider Networks: 6 preferred provider organization plan options, including 5 co-pay plans and one health savings account-compatible, high-deductible health plan, and an health medical organization plan (CaliforniaCare).
