Fifteen volunteers from the Los Angeles, San Gabriel Valley and California El Camino Chartered Property Casualty Underwriting Society (CPCU) Chapters assisted the Los Angeles Regional Foodbank on Saturday, Oct. 21, 2006, to help feed those less fortunate. For several hours, the volunteers filled bags of donated food which will be distributed to those hungry people throughout the Los Angeles area who need a helping hand.
The mission of the Los Angeles Regional Foodbank is to mobilize the resources of our community to fight hunger, the causes of hunger and the problems related to hunger. More information about the organization can be obtained at www.lafightshunger.com/ Los Angeles CPCU.
Chapter volunteers included CPCUs: Eunice Downing-Jackson, Terri Ulbricht, John Chesebrough, Tessa Lucero with daughter Camilla Lucero, Reiner Braun with friend Michael Sochner, George Wallace with son Brent, new designee Steve Yuen with Nicole Yuen; San Gabriel Valley CPCU Chapter volunteers were Mary El Weedman and new designee Patrick Bin He with Karen Woo. Joe Wetter represented both the Los Angeles and Calif. El Camino CPCU Chapters.
