Hull and Co. Inc./Newport Beach’s Contract Division is offering a new program for residential remodelers, including those that build room additions or patios. Coverage is being offered in California by a nonadmitted carrier rated “A” VIII by A.M. Best.
Eligibility includes: single-family dwellings only, no apartments, condos or townhouses; ground floor only, no 2nd, 3rd floors, decks, balconies, etc.; nonstructural interior demolition is acceptable; no asbestos, lead paint or other hazardous material abatement; up to 100 percent subcontracted work is eligible; no residential conversions; no fire, water, construction defect remediation work.
Highlights include: up to $1 million occurrence, $2 million products and general aggregate; payrolls up to $500,000; subcontracted costs up to $1 million; receipts up to $2 million; blanket A/I, primary, noncontributory waivers available; ISO rating applies (state minimum for owners); loss free credits available; and $1,500 minimum premium.
The program requires an Acord application, contractors supplemental (long-form), minimum of three years of loss runs and contractors license information, if available.
