Golden Gate CPCU All Industry Day Scheduled for March 9

The Golden Gate chapter of the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters (CPCU) Society will host its 58th Annual All Industry Day on Friday, March 9, 2007.

Highlights of the events include “The Next Pandemic: Are We Prepared?;” “Emerging Trends in Construction Defect Litigation;” “Property: Perspective of the Present and for the Future;” “Calibrating the Relevance of Captive Insurance Companies in a Changing Market;” and “California Worker’s Compensation Reform: What Next?”

All seminars will provide California Department of Insurance continuing education (CE) credit for producers. Two sequential seminars will provide four hours on ethics training.

The event will be held at the Argent Hotel, 50 Third Street (between Market and Mission Streets) in San Francisco. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. Four seminars will commence at 8:30 a.m., and then three will be repeated at 10:30 a.m. along with Part 2 of the ethics training.

The keynote speaker will be Nancy E. Lindborg, president of Mercy Corps, an international relief and development organization that has been involved in Afghanistan, the Balkans, and Southeast Asian countries affected by the tsunami in 2004.
